Road closure details

Weather permitting construction crews on Hwy 110 between I-35E and I-494 will open the eastbound lanes this weekend. Then beginning Mon, Aug. 7, crews will close westbound Hwy 110.

Here are a few of the items that will need to be complete before eastbound Hwy 110 can open and westbound will close:

  • Striping
  • Shouldering
  • Removal and relocating of barrier

Once westbound Hwy 110 is closed, you will follow the signed detours using westbound I-494 and I-35E back to eastbound Hwy 110. The closure is scheduled to reopen in the fall.

Note: The north/south movements at the intersections of Dodd Blvd and Delaware Ave. will remain open during construction.

Please use caution in the area and don’t follow workers into the work zone.

Reminder

As of June 12, the contractor is utilizing nighttime hours (9 p.m.-5 a.m.). This work may include: removals, excavation/grading, installation/removal of shoring, and installation of a box culvert under Hwy 110. These nighttime activities are expected to continue through mid-September.
